About Us

Dr. Maria Tugbang studied Psychology and Dentistry at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990 and later a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1994.

She enjoys dentistry and participates in many continuing education programs to update her skills. She has trained with some of the world’s most prominent cosmetic dentists.

Dr. Tugbang is a Graduate and Mentor at the Kois Center, a prestigious and highly-acclaimed post-graduate school for dentists located in Seattle, Washington. She helps facilitate dental courses on topics such as comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning, functional occlusion, periodontics, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, prosthodontics including as implants, dentures, bridges and crowns. She helps fellow dentists learn and implement systems that focus on managing patients’ risk factors and developing treatment plans for long-term, predictable success. She has also trained with some of the world’s best implant dentists. She received extensive training in surgical placement of implants, hard and soft tissue grafts from Ickert Implant Teaching Centre under the mentorship of Dr. Norm Ickert, a respected local expert in the field of implantology and comprehensive dentistry.

She has taught in University of British Columbia as a clinical instructor to help dental students perform restorative procedures on their patients. She has also worked in Outreach clinics in Vancouver and Guatemala providing dental services to the underprivileged.

Dr. Tugbang is rapidly becoming known as a leading Langley cosmetic dentist. Her experience and knowledge in Langley cosmetic dentistry is nothing short of the very best. Dr. Aarman Rahim was born and raised in the Tri – Cities. Dr. Rahim received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney. Previously, he studied at Simon Fraser University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Certificate in Liberal Arts.

Dr. Rahim is dedicated to educating and providing his patients with the latest evidence-based treatment, in an efficient and comfortable setting. He is highly proficient, and detail orientated which has led to comfortable and satisfied patient experiences.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Rahim enjoys spending his time outdoors hiking the beautiful terrain British Columbia has to offer as well as making music.

Elyse grew up in Kelowna B.C, from there she moved to Toronto to begin her dental career. Elyse attended the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and graduated with honours in June 2012 moving on to become a Registered Dental Hygienist.

In 2016, Elyse had the opportunity to attend the Kois Centre in Seattle for a course on periodontal health relating to overall systemic health.

She loves the continuous education portion of dentistry and thrives on seeing her patients benefit from the information she learns.

Elyse has recently relocated to Langley, BC from Alberta. In Elyse’s spare time she loves to be active outdoors, traveling the world and spending time with family and friends.

Taeya was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Taeya graduated college in 2002 with a major in Dental Hygiene. Taeya worked in Korea as a Dental Hygienist for 5 years prior to coming to Canada.

Taeya came to Canada, enrolled in a Certified Dental Assistant course, and graduated in 2009. She has been working in dentistry for nearly 20 years and she still finds it fascinating. She is always looking to learn about new techniques, products and excels at ensuring our patients are comfortable throughout their appointments.

In Taeya’s spare time she enjoys yoga and cooking up delicious Korean cuisine with her husband. Ask her about her two beautiful puppies at your next visit!

After entering the dental field in 2003 as an administrative assistant, Ashley quickly realized her passion for “life changing” dentistry. Since joining Dr. Kara and his team in 2008 Ashley feels privileged to work alongside the most dedicated, accomplished and compassionate team providing comprehensive and aesthetic dentistry.  Outside of work, Ashley enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her husband and two beautiful children.

A dental professional since 2009, Amanda spent the first 9 years as a Certified Dental Assistant. Amanda is inspired by the way dentistry can change a person’s life from their overall health to their self confidence. Amanda is a very proud member of Sage Dental Implant and Smile Centre, the dentistry we are able to provide to our patients and the unparalleled patient care are what drive her every day.

When not in the office, Amanda can be found spending time with her young kids and her husband. She enjoys boating with her family, cooking and spending time with friends.

Tiffeny studied Dental Hygiene at the University of British Columbia and graduated with a Bachelors in Dental Science (B.D.Sc.) in 2017.   

She has learned the importance of prevention in dentistry and works with the patient to not only provide a thorough cleaning, but to educate the patient. Tiffeny finds nothing more satisfying than seeing her patients’ oral health improve as they implement what they have learned in the dental chair. Tiffeny’s gentle touch and attention to detail will put you at ease during your dental visits.   

Tiffeny speaks both English and Tamil. When she is not working, you can find her staying active in the gym, bouldering, and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoys visiting new places and spending quality time with the people she loves. 

Siean (pronounced Shane) grew up on the Sunshine Coast and moved to Vancouver to go to Vancouver Community College for Certified Dental assisting and graduated in 2013. After working as a dental assistant for 6 years, she went back to school at VCC for Dental hygiene and graduated with her diploma in 2019. She worked as a hygienist in Kits and lived downtown Vancouver for a few years until she bought her first home in Langley with her fiancé.

Siean is extremely passionate about dentistry and cares a lot about providing the best possible care and education for her patients. On her free time, she loves to spend time with family, her fiancé and friends. Outside the office you can find her staying active by exercising at the gym, hiking, biking and skiing in the winter months!
